Cinderella this Weekend – Success Rising Out of Challenge

As part of The Institute's summer session, Salama will be presenting Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella this July 17 – 19 at Belmont University’s Troutt Theater. At times, Salama is asked why we incorporate the arts and in particular, Broadway productions. The arts provides discipline and reinforces key academic skills such as reading, critical thinking, language arts, and math. Our students also develop leadership skills through public speaking, teamwork, presentation, and creative processes. Another significant value provided, particularly through Broadway productions, are the life lessons which the students learn. Cinderella becoming a princess is an example of success rising out of a very challenging situation, something we can all benefit from. (information provided by Salama)

This performance is a great way for your family to see some great entertainment AND support young people that have been working to build assets this summer.

Constructive Use of Time and Support are two critical pieces of this summer program in middle Tennessee.
