Alignment Nashville and Nashville Public Television are working together to help bring awareness to the children’s health crisis Tennessee is facing.
In response to the increased number of children facing risks from poor or non-existent prenatal care, the rising epidemic of childhood obesity, concerns about vaccinations, mental health issues, lack of specialty care and the consequences of risky adolescent sexual behavior, NPT is launching a three-year project aimed at building a community-wide conversation about the state of Nashville children’s health. NPT will produce a series of seven documentaries to encourage children and families to make healthy choices and help reverse the rising trends of childhood health problems in Tennessee.
