TN Commission on Children & Youth Needs Youth Members

The Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth (TCCY) is governed by a Board of Commission Members, all of whom are appointed by the Governor. Each Commission Member can serve up to three three-year terms. In order to comply with the federal requirements that allow TCCY to serve as the State Advisory Group for Tennessee, they are required to have Youth Members (under age 24). Ideally, TCCY would like to have young people who are enthusiastic, dynamic, and have some history of involvement with the child welfare or juvenile justice system. The Commission meets for two days at least every quarter. TCCY covers travel and lodging expenses. For more information, plese contact Richard Kennedy, Director of Field Operations, at richard.kennedy@tn.gov.
